The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join the Autonomous Systems Maritime Undersea team located in Herndon, VA (virtual).
This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.
The Maritime Undersea division is seeking a talented, self-motivated Senior Embedded Software Engineer to participate in the development of future mission systems technologies in the areas of avionics, autonomy, human-systems interfaces and sensor processing.
Current areas of focus are advanced mission systems processing, unmanned autonomous vehicle operation, sensor and image processing, small form factor computing and crew station/operator environments.
Must be able to take vague requirements and quickly translate them into embedded system solutions by team collaborations with customers.
The project will focus on a mixture of new development integrated with legacy capability to provide significant new capability(s) in a short time frame.

Responsibilities:
Perform software engineering across the entire software development lifecycle:
requirements analysis, software design, development, and test Identify, Perform and Review design decisions, trade studies, architecture improvements Champion relentless product and process improvements within the organization Coordinate with other integrated product teams (IPTs) to solve technical code and program issues and control configurations Collaborate with multiple teams within a Scaled Agile software environment Foster a culture of common workflow and capability development across programs and feature teams This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in Herndon, VA.
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
Ability to obtain a Secret US Security clearance Post-Start.
Basic Qualifications, This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret US Security Clearances, for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
(Post Start) 5 years experience in embedded real-time software development 5 years of experience in Java and/or C+
Bachelor's Degree or higher, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
Single-Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) Experience in Python and development on Linux Typical Education/
Experience:
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification:
Bachelor s Degree,14 or more years experience; Master s Degree, with 12 or more years experience; or PhD, with 9 or more years experience.
Bachelor, master or doctorate of science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
Relocation:
This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.
Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
