We are currently looking for a Senior Project Surveyor to join the Survey team.

Responsibilities Provide research and obtain available information needed for the successful completion of a project Includes researching previous survey data (maps, deeds and utility information) from public jurisdictional records Requires a high degree of analytical computations and skill and the ability to improvise, calculate and respond to changing project and client needs Possess knowledge, education and/or work experience relating to property and right-of-way resolutions, deed and plat research Exceptional proficiency with basic survey and mathematical calculations and coordinate geometry Ability to read blueprints, plats, maps, plans, deeds, legal documents, site plans and field notes Perform translations, rotations and datum shifts on existing data using conventional and GPS survey methods and information Ensure all projects are completed according to project schedule, company policy and production standards Knowledge of company's descriptions, coding and techniques Knowledge of company's AutoCAD layers and file system Keep Field Coordinator informed about the status of all assigned projects and tasks Process field data in association with boundary and improvement surveys Analyze field data and process for terrain modeling, contouring and cutsheet preparation Set alignments and points for construction stakeout and boundary resolutions Management of project data, as-built street and utility profiling Review, edit and troubleshoot incoming field data files in accordance with company Review field notes, provides field note reductions and adjustments for traverse and bench loops using company software and procedures Prepare all types of survey drawings and documents using company CAD standards, templates and blocks.
Prepare cutsheets using field data along with the design information Prepare drawing check plots for Coordinator and the certifying Professional Surveyor Address red-line markups promptly and completely Assist Coordinator with final plots, blueprints and document deliveries to the Client Assist in the organization and maintenance of project technical files, flat files and field folders Exhibit exceptional communication skills; document phone conversations with clients, public officials and third parties using standard company documents Use internal systems to report project status to supervisors and engineering staffRequired Experience Advanced knowledge of surveying practices and principles to use daily in handling project situation.
Strong knowledge of current surveyor computer software applications Strong overall Carlson product experience, including Carlson Survey and Civil for AutoCAD Experience with Microsoft Office Strong knowledge of modern survey field equipment Strong overall experience with conventional total stations including Topcon and Leica products Working knowledge of Static and RTK GPS desired Working knowledge of Carlson SurvCE data collectors Requires analytical skills in order to gather and summarize data for reports, and find solutions for various technical problems Ability to prioritize work which includes continual attention to detail in all aspects of a project to meet milestones, deadlines and client's needsEducation and Certifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Land Surveying preferred WV Licensed Surveyor CST Level IV required or ability to obtain within one (1) year Minimum of eight (8) years of demonstrated experience and knowledge of land surveying practices and techniques Requires the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, subordinates, and related personnel Strong communication skills are requiredchristopher consultants, ltd.
