REHAU, a leading international polymer manufacturer, is seeking an ambitious, experienced Design Coordinator for our Windows and Doors Business Unit based in Leesburg, VA. Specific job responsibilities for the Design Coordinator are as follows:
Provide drafting support for a full range of window and door designs for residential and commercial building projects
Review customer projects and plans in order to develop REHAU product specifications
Perform design calculations (i.e.: structural, static and possibly thermal heat loss calculations)
Prepare drawings using AutoCAD for a broad range of requirements, including simple profile shapes, fabrication manuals, window and door schedules, and layouts for commercial projects
Provide drawing support for the existing design and drafting staff
Experience in window and door related products and services including hardware and glass
Strong understanding of residential and/or commercial building construction methods and materials; hands-on experience in these fields is a plus
Strong background in drafting/CAD and understanding of all types of measurement practices, including the use of both Imperial and Metric dimensioning
Experience in polymer extrusion and/or injection molding is a plus
Outstanding communication and organizational skills
Team player who works well individually, as well as part of a team
Ability to speak/understand Spanish and/or German languages is a plus
