Job Description
JOB OVERVIEW
Responsible for monitoring fitness facilities ensuring positive and friendly customer relations. Design individualized training programs for clients, monitor client training sessions and maintain records of client s progress.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.Use equipment only as intended.
Anticipate guests needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
Maintain complete knowledge of property management system and manual procedures.
Maintain knowledge of hours of operations, memberships, reservations, rentals, fees, products and merchandise.
Set up and organize work station with designated supplies, forms and resource materials; report shortages to supervisor.
Be familiar with all hotel packages, promotions, prices and rates.
Perform opening procedures.
Call members.
Schedule client appointments.
Verify medical releases from clients with applicable medical conditions.
Set and maintain water stations.
Sell and maintain newspapers.
Greet guests.
Log and file no-shows.
Perform fitness screenings.
Design training programs for clients.
Conduct training sessions for clients.
Maintain records of exercises performed at each session.
Handle teen workout sessions.
Enter locker room, wait for guest response.
Assist guest with Fitness Center equipment.
Monitor guest safety.
Maintain towel/linen supply, locker rooms, steam room/sauna, massage room, racquet courts, fitness center and pool area.
Maintain Fitness Center equipment.
Perform assigned weekly detailed cleaning.
Maintain and replenish soap dispensers and paper supplies.
Sell merchandise.
Process telephone orders.
Process payments.
Collect payments for training sessions.
Display and stock merchandise.
Remove damaged/soiled merchandise.
Perform closing procedures.
Complete end of shift checklist.
Maintain required certifications/credentials.
Required Qualifications REQUIRED JOB
Qualifications:
High school graduate.
Personal Trainer Certification.
CPR certified.
First Aid certified.
Provide legible communication and directions.
Compute basic mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers).Ability to:
Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
Prioritize, organize and follow up.
Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
Follow directions thoroughly.
Understand guest s service needs.
